A startling new development has been discovered in the inquiry into the killing of Liam Payne.

The singer, who was 31 years old at the time of his death, was found to have multiple drugs in his system when he fell from the balcony of his CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16.

These drugs included cocaine, crack, benzodiazepines, and "pink cocaine," which is a mixture of methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA, and other substances. The results of a partial autopsy have reportedly been established.

“On the outside, Liam was all smiles. But on the inside, he was hurting,” an insider told Life & Style Magazine. “He was basically leading a devastating double life.”

Conversely, One Direction members use this opportunity to reflect on the joyful times they spent with their deceased bandmates.

“Liam had an energy for life and a passion for work that was infectious,” Niall Horan, 31, said. Harry Styles, 30, echoed his sentiments in a statement, writing, “[Liam’s] greatest joy was making other people happy.”

Following the band's dissolution in 2016, Louis Tomlinson disclosed that he and Liam had developed a closer relationship.

“Speaking on the phone for hours, reminiscing about all the thousands of amazing memories we had together is a luxury I thought I’d have with [him] for life,” Louis, 32, admitted.

In addition, even though Zayn Malik has had "a few" disagreements with Liam, he acknowledges that the singer has been there for him through some of the most challenging moments in his life.

“When I was missing home as a 17-year-old kid, you would always be there with a positive outlook and reassuring smile and let me know [that] you were my friend and that I was loved,” Zayn, 31, recalled. “I hope that wherever you are right now … you know how loved you are.”

Meanwhile, Argentine media reports have reported that the body of One Direction star Liam Payne is scheduled to be taken to a funeral home and embalmed "within the next 48 hours," as per The Mirror. The former member of the boy band passed away on October 16 as a result of injuries he acquired after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, which was located on the third floor.

After flying 7,000 miles in the hopes of bringing his son's coffin back to the United States by the end of the week, Geoff Payne, Liam's father, is currently dealing with the practicalities of the repatriation procedure.

The petition to establish a permanent memorial in the pop icon's name has been signed by thousands of fans mourning the pop star's loss.

Investigations have occurred throughout the days and weeks since Liam's passing. The purpose of these investigations is to ascertain the precise cause of death and to put together what transpired in the minutes that led up to the singer's tragic fall. A substance-induced "psychotic episode" has been identified as the cause of death by the investigators, who have stated that they do not believe any foul play or participation from a "third party."

Infobae, an Argentine news portal, stated the previous week that forensic scientists had found evidence of cocaine in Liam's body. However, tests on a mystery white powder seen in multiple images leaked of the interior of his hotel suite produced " inconclusive results."

There have been unconfirmed rumors coming from the United States that a combination of substances, including a designer drug known as "pink cocaine," which is a blend of MDMA, ketamine, and methamphetamine, was discovered in his system during a partial autopsy. Additionally, crack cocaine and benzodiazepines were also found in his system.

On Thursday, the police swarmed the boutique hotel where Liam had been staying to conduct examinations of computers and paperwork, ABC News reported. It is speculated that this was part of a search for a potential drug dealer, as there were rumors that someone from the hotel was providing the singer, who was 31 years old at the time, with narcotics.

Until the results of the toxicology and tissue tests that would need to be completed before Geoff Payne would finally be able to bring his son home, the prosecution has not yet confirmed any of the results. During his visit to the hotel, Payne was granted permission to enter the suite on the third floor where the former One Direction member stayed with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

Cassidy had returned to the United States just a few days before the tragedy. Payne wanted to retrieve his son's clothing and other belongings that were no longer required for the investigation.

Following the devastating news of the pop star's passing, Payne also visited a makeshift monument set up outside the hotel. The memorial featured photographs, candles, flowers, and letters in his honor. Thousands of admirers are grieving the loss of their favorite musician, and they have signed a petition asking for a tribute to be built in the form of a permanent "structure or mural" in Wolverhampton, located in the West Midlands.

As the inquiry proceeds, additional answers will inevitably be released. For the time being, Geoff Payne is currently waiting with bated breath for the body of his son to be handed over to him.
