Gisele Bundchen has always desired "a big family," and now, at the age of 44, she is expanding her clan! The model is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, a jiu-jitsu instructor. They started dating in June of last year.
Gisele, who is already the mother of Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, with her ex-husband Tom Brady, will become a mother for the third time with this kid, PEOPLE Magazine reported. The news that Gisele and Joaquim are "thrilled for this new chapter" comes just two years after the dissolution of her thirteen-year marriage to footballer Tom.
Last year, the model revealed that she and Tom "wanted different things" than when they first met in their 20s.
She said, "It just means that for you to be authentic and truly live the life that you want to live, you have to have somebody who can meet you in the middle, right? This is a dance. It achieves a balance."
Gisele, who was a Victoria's Secret Angel from 1999 to 2006, did not appear at the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which took place on October 15, despite the fact that several Angels had returned in the past, as per Cosmopolitan.
A journey to the province of Puntarenas, located on the coast of Costa Rica, was the first time that Gisele and Joaquim were seen together. This occurred in November 2022 when her two children accompanied the couple.
After initially denying that she was in a romantic relationship with her trainer, the two eventually developed a romantic connection. In February 2024, a source revealed that Gisele and Joaquim had been dating since June 2023.
Following her breakup with Tom, the supermodel reportedly "blossomed," according to a source in June 2024. “She is secure and happy and so busy with her life that she doesn’t have time to dwell on the negatives out there,” the source said.
Another source told Woman’s Day Australia in February, "They have been dating since June. They're taking it slow. They started out as great friends first. She's very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other."
After thirteen years of marriage, Tom and Gisele decided to end their union in October 2022. The former spouses agreed to joint custody of their children.
