Only a few weeks after her ex-husband, Tom Brady, divorced in November 2022, Gisele Bundchen was accused of having a romantic relationship with her long-time martial arts instructor, Joaquim Valente.
Fans were taken aback when they learned that they were expecting their first child together in October 2024, indicating that their relationship had flourished recently. In November 2022, just a few weeks after the divorce was finalized, Giselle was observed with Joaquim and Jordan, a fellow Jiu-Jitsu coach, getting supper at the Koji restaurant located in the Provincia de Puntarenas district of Costa Rica. The group was accompanied by the two children that the native of Brazil, Benjamin, and Vivian, who she shares with Tom, brought along with her.
Gisele and Joaquim's trip to Costa Rica fuelled rumors that they were dating once they returned. Nevertheless, according to a source who spoke with Life & Style, there was no sexual relationship between them, and they are simply "long-time" friends.
According to photographs received by Life & Style Magazine, the fitness instructor was observed for the first time since the vacation on November 18, 2022.

We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together … We arrive at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration. Doing so is, of course, painful and difficult like it is for many people who go through the same thing every day around the world," the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback wrote via Instagram at the time.
For her part, Gisele acknowledged that their split had been “painful and difficult” in her message via Instagram. “We wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written.”
