Sean "Diddy" Combs is facing fresh legal trouble after a former model filed a lawsuit alleging she was sexually assaulted at one of the rapper's famed Fourth of July White Parties in 2004. The lawsuit, filed in federal court in New York, accuses Combs of drugging and assaulting the then-17-year-old at his Hamptons mansion.
The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe in court documents, claims she attended the opulent event, which was filled with celebrities, luxurious decor, and live music. "Many unsuspecting individuals, like Plaintiff, were recruited to attend these parties," the lawsuit states.
According to the filing, Doe alleges she was given a spiked drink, causing her to lose consciousness. When she awoke, she reportedly felt pain and discovered her underwear was missing. The lawsuit alleges that Combs and two bodyguards approached her, issuing threats to ensure her silence. "Combs told Plaintiff that she would be in danger if she spoke about what had occurred, stating that he 'ran New York and would ruin her,'" the complaint reads.
The lawsuit does not specify how Doe determined Combs was the individual who assaulted her. She claims she was later escorted to a hotel in East Hampton after being forced to surrender her purse and cellphone upon entering the party.
Erica Wolff, an attorney for Combs, categorically denied the allegations. "As his legal team has said before, Mr. Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process," Wolff stated. "In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone-man or woman, adult or minor."
This lawsuit is among more than 20 filed by attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents over 100 individuals accusing Combs of sexual misconduct, including rape and trafficking. Buzbee's legal actions stem from allegations of widespread abuse spanning decades, with some cases involving minors.
Buzbee announced on Instagram this week that his firm intends to continue filing lawsuits "naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we gather evidence."
Combs, 54, remains incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following federal charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and prostitution-related offenses filed in September. Prosecutors allege Combs orchestrated "Freak Offs," elaborate parties where sexual exploitation occurred, often recorded by the music mogul.
The rapper has pleaded not guilty and is currently seeking house arrest through a $50 million bail package.
The allegations against Combs have fueled additional lawsuits, including a recent claim by a Florida man who alleges Combs drugged and raped him at a Miami party in 2022. Another plaintiff claims he was assaulted while auditioning for a role in a music video in 2001.
Amid these escalating accusations, Buzbee himself faces legal challenges. An anonymous celebrity, referred to as "John Doe" in a Los Angeles lawsuit, alleges that Buzbee attempted to extort a settlement by threatening to release fabricated claims of sexual misconduct involving minors.
Buzbee dismissed the lawsuit as "not only without legal merit, but laughable," maintaining that his firm's demand letters were part of standard legal practice aimed at resolving disputes before litigation.
Wolff seized on the lawsuit against Buzbee, calling it evidence of the attorney's "shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them."
Despite the mounting legal battles, Buzbee vowed to press forward, stating, "I am a U.S. Marine. I won't be silenced or intimidated. Neither will my clients."
