Christian Combs, son of music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, has been served with a lawsuit alleging sexual assault and related claims stemming from an incident during a 2022 yacht party. The lawsuit, filed by Grace O'Marcaigh, accuses the 26-year-old, known by his stage name King Combs, of assault, battery, sexual assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The lawsuit was reportedly delivered to Christian at his father's Miami mansion. According to the legal filing, the incident occurred during a yacht outing chartered by Diddy, which O'Marcaigh described as a "hedonistic environment" involving "drug use, sex work, and general chaos."
O'Marcaigh, who worked as a stewardess in the yachting industry, claims the trip derailed her career and personal life. "In addition to losing her employment, [Grace] also lost her longtime partner, with whom she had planned a future," the lawsuit states. It further details that she endured severe emotional and physical distress, requiring medication and intensive therapy.
The incident allegedly took place during what was initially billed as a "wholesome family excursion." O'Marcaigh claims Combs pressured her to drink, violently grabbed her arm, and cornered her in a private room where he made unwelcome advances. The lawsuit alleges that she managed to escape after another person entered the room.
Representatives for both Christian Combs and Diddy have strongly denied the allegations, pointing to the attorney representing O'Marcaigh, Tyrone Blackburn, as a source of unfounded claims. "This is just another lewd and meritless claim from Tyrone Blackburn-just like what he filed in the Rodney Jones lawsuit, which he still has not served," said Aaron Dyer, the attorney for both Combs men, in a statement. "This complaint is filled with the same kind of manufactured lies and irrelevant facts we've come to expect from Blackburn."
Dyer also highlighted prior criticism of Blackburn by a federal judge. "This is exactly why the federal judge in New York slapped him two days ago for a 'pattern of behavior' in 'improperly [filing] cases in federal court to garner media attention, embarrass defendants with salacious allegations, and pressure defendants to settle quickly,'" Dyer said.
O'Marcaigh's lawsuit also details the broader impact of the alleged incident, including her inability to fulfill her duties as maid of honor at her sister's wedding. The suit claims her mental health significantly deteriorated, and visible bruises on her body led to a breakup with her longtime partner.
This legal development comes amid ongoing turmoil for the Combs family. Sean "Diddy" Combs, 55, is currently incarcerated and awaiting trial on separate charges, with a trial date set for May 2025. He has pleaded not guilty and has maintained his innocence throughout the legal process.
In October, Diddy's six children publicly expressed their support for him, writing on Instagram, "The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media. We stand united, supporting you every step of the way."
Christian Combs, the youngest son, has been a rising figure in the entertainment industry, but the allegations mark a significant setback. O'Marcaigh's claims have sparked additional scrutiny of the Combs family amid ongoing legal challenges.
