The ongoing legal battles surrounding prominent music moguls Sean "Diddy" Combs and Jay-Z have taken another dramatic turn, as allegations of sexual assault against the pair continue to dominate headlines. A refiled lawsuit brought forward by an anonymous accuser has introduced new, shocking claims, including the involvement of an unnamed "Celebrity B" who allegedly witnessed the assaults.
The accuser claims that in September 2000, following the MTV Video Music Awards, she was subjected to a horrific series of events at an afterparty in New York. According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the plaintiff alleged that Diddy and Jay-Z took turns sexually assaulting her while "Celebrity B" watched. The lawsuit details that the plaintiff was just 13 years old at the time.
"Plaintiff was held down by Carter as he vaginally raped her, while Combs and Celebrity B watched," the lawsuit reads. "After Carter finished, he stepped back toward the wall. Combs then stepped forward and vaginally raped Plaintiff while Carter and Celebrity B watched."
The allegations have raised significant questions about the identity of "Celebrity B," who remains unnamed in court filings. Legal experts suggest that this individual is likely seeking legal counsel. "Any celebrity witness has consulted with a lawyer by now about this case," criminal defense attorney Lauren Johnson-Norris told Fox News. "It is to be seen if Celebrity B will say she was there on her own free will or if she was a victim as well."
Meanwhile, attorneys for both Jay-Z, born Shawn Carter, and Diddy have vehemently denied the allegations. Through his legal team, Jay-Z filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit and demanded that the plaintiff's request for anonymity be denied. "My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a 'lawyer' named Tony Buzbee," Carter stated on social media. "What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle."
Buzbee, who represents the anonymous plaintiff, has fired back, claiming that his client is not seeking a settlement but justice. He also accused Carter of harassment and bullying in an effort to discredit the case.
The allegations against Diddy are equally severe. In addition to the new lawsuit, he faces federal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Prosecutors allege that Diddy orchestrated what they described as "Freak Offs," elaborate sexual events involving multiple participants, often under coercive circumstances. If convicted on these charges, Diddy could face a minimum of 15 years in prison.
Judge Arun Subramanian has scheduled Diddy's federal trial to begin on May 5, with the prosecution estimating three weeks to present its case. Diddy's defense team anticipates requiring one week to argue its position.
The new lawsuit adds to the growing list of accusations against Diddy, which have surfaced in recent months. The case has already sparked intense public debate, particularly regarding the accountability of powerful figures in the entertainment industry.
For now, the identity of "Celebrity B" remains a mystery. Legal analysts predict that the individual's name may emerge as the case progresses. "Likely, that celebrity's name will come out, but no celebrity wants to be associated with this case, even as a witness ," noted criminal defense attorney Julia Jayne. "It would be negative publicity."
Both Diddy and Jay-Z have denied any wrongdoing, the court proceedings are set to shed more light on the disturbing allegations that have sent shockwaves through the music world.
