Sean "Diddy" Combs, a once-celebrated figure in the music and entertainment industry, faces mounting allegations that he employed teams of men to recruit women for private interactions at his star-studded events. These claims, which surfaced in recent reports, cast a shadow over the mogul's high-profile gatherings, including his 2004 White Party in the Hamptons.
Lisa, an attendee at the 2004 event, described the unsettling experience to The New York Post. "I was talking to another woman, and this guy came up out of nowhere," she said. "He said, 'Hey, Diddy saw you guys and wants to know if you want to hang out after this is all done.' I didn't really know what to say."
Lisa, who attended the party with her husband, recounted how the man tried to persuade her by claiming it was "an honor to be asked." She later realized that "intimate" time was being offered under the guise of casual socializing.
Lisa turned down the offer, pointing to her husband as an excuse. "So I said, 'My husband would love to meet Diddy,'" she recalled. "And he was like, 'What husband? Who is he?' So I pointed him out, and the guy rolled his eyes and said, 'Never mind.'"
However, Lisa's friend accepted the invitation, accompanying others back to Diddy's mansion. Reflecting on her friend's experience, Lisa said, "But my friend said yes and went with him and a bunch of other people back to his mansion. She never really talked about it afterwards but just would say that she shouldn't have gone. It wasn't a good experience for her."
The allegations surrounding Diddy's parties align with claims made by Phillip Pines, a former employee, who has filed a lawsuit against the rapper. Pines alleges that from 2019 to 2021, he was tasked with preparing rooms for events dubbed "Wild King Nights." These gatherings reportedly involved multiple women and often lasted for days. According to the lawsuit, Pines was responsible for setting up rooms with red lights, alcohol, drugs, and specialized equipment such as "power banger sex machines."
The lawsuit also claims Pines was instructed to clean up after the events, removing evidence such as sex toys and drugs while leaving generous tips for hotel staff to ensure discretion. Pines is suing Diddy for sexual harassment, sexual battery, and sex trafficking.
Lisa's account of the 2004 White Party, hosted under the theme "Vote or Die," suggests that these practices date back years. The event, outwardly a campaign to mobilize minority voters, attracted a star-studded guest list, including Aretha Franklin, LL Cool J, and Mary J. Blige. Beneath the surface, however, Lisa alleges the event had a more sinister undertone.
"I hear about all these stories, and it freaks me out," Lisa said. "That could've been me. Thank God it wasn't."
Diddy, who is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, has been arrested on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. His legal team continues to deny the allegations. "No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won't change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone - man or woman, adult or minor," his attorneys said in a statement.
