Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are expecting their first child, the couple announced on Monday. The model and former Miss Universe, 32, shared the news in an Instagram post, writing, "Next chapter, motherhood," alongside black-and-white maternity photos.

Culpo, wearing a flowing dress, cradled her growing baby bump in one image, while another showed her turned toward the camera with a hand on her hip. She also posted a video of herself with McCaffrey, 28, holding hands and kissing in a field, dressed in a long white dress.

The announcement comes nine months after the couple tied the knot in Rhode Island in June 2024. Culpo had previously expressed her excitement about starting a family with the San Francisco 49ers running back, telling Vogue ahead of their wedding that marriage was "the beginning of the rest of your life" and a "bond of two people forever."

In a 2022 episode of her reality show The Culpo Sisters, she opened up about concerns regarding her fertility due to endometriosis, a condition that can impact a woman's ability to conceive. "I want to have kids, but I want to make sure that I can," she said at the time. "Endometriosis can affect your fertility in a lot of different ways."

Culpo, who was diagnosed with the condition years ago, revealed that she worried about her timeline for starting a family. "There is so much that I don't know about what's going to happen in the future with that condition, and I worry all the time," she shared.

Despite her concerns, she remained open about her family plans with McCaffrey, stating that while she had initially envisioned having children by 30, her fiancé's career as an NFL player meant they had to wait. "He is completely and totally focused on football, and he should be," she said in 2022.

By 2023, she had a clearer plan in place. In a TikTok post before her wedding, Culpo joked about her intention to "rip out my IUD and start trying immediately." She had also discussed her desire to prepare for parenthood, with her sisters noting her shift in home décor. "Already, I can see that her house is no longer all white and beige," her older sister Aurora said.

The couple began dating in 2019 and got engaged in April 2023, with McCaffrey proposing with a ring designed by jeweler Ring Concierge. Their wedding last summer, attended by family and friends, featured a custom Dolce & Gabbana gown that Culpo described as a reflection of the seriousness of her commitment.
