George Clooney says he and his wife, human rights attorney Amal Clooney, have never had an argument in their 10 years of marriage. The 63-year-old actor and filmmaker made the comment during an interview on CBS Mornings on Monday, while promoting his Broadway debut in Good Night, and Good Luck.

"I remember we were here with you once before, and I remember we said we'd never had an argument. We still haven't," Clooney told host Gayle King. "We're trying to find something to fight about!"

Clooney described Amal, 47, as "an incredible woman" and said, "I feel as if I hit the jackpot. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think I'm the luckiest man in the world. So it's great." The couple shares 7-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, whom Clooney called "really curious and funny," adding, "Every parent thinks their kids are great - our kids are funny and make us laugh."

Clooney is currently performing on stage in New York City, a rare return to live theater for the Oscar-winning actor. He stars in the stage adaptation of Good Night, and Good Luck, a play based on the 2005 film he co-wrote and directed. Amal and the children have joined him in New York while he performs. "George says this may be the happiest he's ever been," a source told Closer, describing the family's recent move as a "bucket list career moment" for the actor.

The no-argument claim has been consistent in interviews over the years. In a 2022 appearance on CBS Mornings, Clooney told King, "[Marriage is] the easiest thing in our lives by far. We've never had an argument." Amal added at the time, "It's maddening to some of our friends. I have a cousin, actually, every time we see him he's like, his first question is, 'So have you had an argument yet?' before he says hello."

When pressed by King about the claim, Clooney laughed and said, "Would you like us to [argue] right now? Would that make you feel better?"

Amal has also spoken openly about their relationship in the past, telling Vogue in 2018 that falling in love with George "felt like the most natural thing in the world." She added, "It's the one thing in life that I think is the biggest determinant of happiness, and it's the thing you have the least control over." Reflecting on their marriage, she said, "I was 35 when I met him. It wasn't obvious that it was going to happen for me."

Clooney has reiterated the couple's dynamic in other interviews, including a 2020 PEOPLE cover story where he said, "We haven't ever had an argument. You know, everybody's been slammed together because of the coronavirus and a lot of friends' relationships have been tested. For us, it's been really easy."

As Clooney continues his Broadway run, he said he's enjoying coming home to his wife and children each night. "Amal can do a lot of her work in New York, and the States, and when she needs to go to Europe, it's less than six hours, which is bearable," a source familiar with the family's schedule told Closer. "He wakes up with his darling kids and then gets to go work on Broadway."
