After the tremendous success of Kingdom Hearts 2, fans were eagerly waiting for the next installment of the role-playing sensations. The third edition of the trilogy will finally see the lights of the day on January 29, 2019. The second part of the Kingdom Hearts series already fetched the idea that Sora, Goofy, and Donald will take their final voyage for adventures in the third version of the game.

However, fans were highly anticipated to know how their journey will end and what they will explore in Kingdom Hearts 3. Finally, Sony took the initiative to clear the clouds and convey a clear picture of the game in its E3 presentation.

Square Enix, the publisher of the series, earlier hinted for a release date in 2018 only. The announcement was done by the director of the series: Tetsuya Nomura during the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour. Soon it was published in Square Enix's official twitter handle. Finally, the publisher declared that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be officially unveiled on January 29, 2019.

SlashGear also denoted that Nomura also requested for apologies to the fans by saying "I'm sorry that we're asking for a little more time than initially planned." However, during the latest E3 event, Square Enix launched three different trailers of the game, which are enough to excite a fan's gaming sensation.

The Verge said Kingdom Hearts 3 will have superlative places to explore with excellent characters. The addition of a Pirates of the Caribbean world with Johnny Depp starred: Jack Sparrow will make it more exciting. Also, some potential sources claimed that, according to one of the trailers, Kingdom Hearts 3 will see a world inspired by Disney's animated masterpiece: Frozen. This means that Sora will take a journey from the sea to the snowy mountains, along with Goofy and Donald.

Sources also suggested that Kingdom Hearts 3 will have fabulous plot settings alongside spectacular visual effects. Besides all these, Sony also announced a special surprise for gamers in terms of the final edition of Kingdom Hearts trilogy, during its E3 presentation. The company will launch a special edition of PlayStation 4 Pro themed around Kingdom Hearts 3.

The console will also come with a matching DualShock controller. The prize and other specifications of the console is still a mystery. It is now thought that the console will also release alongside the game. Kingdom Hearts 3 will be available for both PS4 Pro and Xbox One.
