Apple Music has pulled over Spotify and now the most preferred music streaming service among users. The two music app has roughly 20 million users, but Apple Music as the upper hand.
The company is being asked of what could be their possible strategy to take back their position. Globally, Spotify users are still high compared to its competitor, but they should not loosen up because that “good margin” could decrease if they do not move.
This is a great news for Apple, but for Spotify, they said that it doesn’t matter because the bottom line is if the listeners are loyal, involved and if it is profitable for musicians. In fact, the Apple Music’s success over them in terms of users do not actually depreciate the streaming start-up. They are still optimistic to become a $100 billion company by the year 2020.
The company is focused on how they can increase the number of their users. One of the plans is to upgrade the app. The good news is that Spotify is “boiling” something. They will expand its focus not by just simply sticking to creating a playlist and listening to their best-loved songs.
Spotify is working on to make it more like an MTV best for young generation users, especially to those who are music enthusiast and aspiring artists.
Spotify is still in the “game”. They haven’t lost yet, in fact, they still have the rating of 4.8 in Apple’s App Store and they just need to continue what they are doing and that is to offer a well-liked service not just in the U .S., but universally.
