The Cubot P20 is one of the cheapest mobile phones one can get in the market offering reasonable specs. It costs just a fraction of most flagships being provided although the features position it somewhere between the starter and mid-range market.

On the outside, the Cubot P20 offers no frills. It comes in a standard mold measuring about 156.3 x 75.3 x 8.5mm. It is available in a trio of colors, with the Twilight Black Variant looming as the classy shade to consider as Gizmo China points out. Other choices include a blue and gradient color design. For a device that is priced for only $129.99, there is no question that this could be a steal in the market once it does debut.

Externally, the device totes a 6.18-inch full HD+ (2246x1080 pixel) display panel. The whole phone is made of glass and metal design and also includes a notch. Aesthetically, there is no denying that the Cubot P20 is a classy device worth having.

Before that, it would be best to see what is under the hood of the handset. As detailed by Neowin, the Cubot P20 will be powered by a MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit octa-core CPU that will be backed by an ARM Mali T860 MP2 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and choice of 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage. The phone comes with provision for expandable storage via microSD.

The Cubot P20 also features a 20 MP + 2 MP rear dual camera with f/2.0 aperture and front-facing 13 MP camera. The device will rely on a 4,000 mAh battery, sport the usual rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security and run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Folks who may be interested can choose from either single or dual-SIM variants.

While the phone looks pretty much the same on most fronts, it is the pricing that makes it a tempting buy for the consumer. Priced for only $169.99, it looms as one of the ridiculously low priced handsets available in the market.

There is no mention of how many units would be made available. Phones offering decent specs and priced accordingly have been known to sell fast. The Cubot P20 officially hit online stores recently with Gearbest already taking in pre-orders.

The discounted offer is valid until Aug. 12 with the unit immediately shipping after the pre-sale period ends. The original SRP applies after the pre-sale period, meaning folks will have to shell out an additional $40 from thereon.
