The Oppo Find X is one of the new faces in the smartphone market that will be offered in three variants – Standard Edition, Super Flash Edition and the Lamborghini Edition. Of the three, the Standard Edition is expected to break the ice and become available by mid-August and cost around $848.
As mentioned in a previous post, there was no official word yet on when the Super Flash and Lamborghini Edition would be made available. Among the standard specs to expect for the Oppo Find X trio include a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, (2340x1080p), an octa-core Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 SoC, an Adreno 630 GPU and 8 GB of RAM.
Aside from that, the device will also come with dual pop-up 16 MP + 20 MP primary camera and a 25 MP front-facing shooter. The Oppo Find X phones are dual-SIM ready, have no expandable storage and run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. For biometric security, the device will rely on facial recognition and will not come with the traditional fingerprint scanner usually situated at the rear.
Being a special edition, there are differences to expect for the Oppo Find X Lamborghini edition. One is that it will have more massive internal storage at 512 GB and have a smaller 3,400 mAh battery. The Standard Edition has a slightly larger 3730 Li-Ion battery pack.
With Oppo arming their devices with support for Super VOOC fast charge, the battery size may not be much of an issue. The technology can charge the battery from empty to full in just 35 minutes using a 50W charger, Gizmo China said.
Being the top version of the Oppo Find X clan, the Lamborghini edition comes with a unique design. Aside from that, it will come with its special aesthetic design. It will sport a carbon fiber appearance beneath its glass back for a more premium look. The Standard and Super Flash Edition will be available in Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue. The UI of the Lamborghini edition will also be customized.
The Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition will expectedly cost more. Its suggested retail price is pegged at $1,462 compared to spending only $848 for the Standard Edition and $978 for the Super Flash Edition.
Aside from the actual device, folks who decide to get the top device of the Oppo Find X series will also get a case, charger with braided cable, Lamborghini-branded earphones and a 3.5 mm to USB-C adapter.
Folks who could care less about the high price can start placing their pre-orders ahead of its expected Aug. 10 release at Oppo’s official online store.
