Trae Young is not after fame but it's all about what he can learn from Jeremy Lin. Some say Young is afraid of Lin stealing the spotlight as the latter enters Atlanta Hawks.

According to Bleacher Report, Young told The Athletic's Michael Sotto how he looks forward to working with Jeremy Lin. He is also hoping that with Lin, they can cooperate in rebuilding the Hawks around. The earlier mentioned source reported that Hawks trade the rights to Euro Star Luka Doncic to Dallas Mavericks.

This is in exchange for the draft rights of Trae Young, along with a future first round pick on the draft night. The trade, with Young and Doncic, will potentially put both players into the spotlight among all rookies heading to the next season.

Meanwhile, according to Slam Online, Young said in an interview, "From what I have heard, he is going to be a great mentor to me. We have been talking. He is a good dude. He's been through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. He has seen it all, so I am looking forward to picking his brain."

Jeremy Lin and Trae Young

Talking about the upcoming duo, Atlanta Hawks got Lin in a trade with his former team, Brooklyn Nets, in mid-July. He is to make over $12.5 million in 2018-2019, which is an essential salary dump for Nets. Lin expressed how much he is excited to play for Hawks and he described them as a young team.

Still, he believes that he can share his experiences with them as they start a new chapter together in the NBA. Lin also shared that he can see how Hawks will use him and Young in the court. The 29-year-old has previously played for three teams: Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Rockets.

During those old times, his previous teams always put two point guards in the court simultaneously. Therefore, Lin concludes that he and Young can play fast. Hawks' current Head Coach is Lloyd Pierce, who is a former coach of Golden State Warriors.

As a new member on board, Lin said that he already had a talk with him already. He knows that the upcoming season is going to be exciting and fun. On the other hand, Young was a star as well even before his time in Atlanta Hawks. He has an average of 27.4 points and 8.7 assists per game in his sole season at Oklahoma.
