Even though the OnePlus 6 has barely got its feet wet, most are now wondering if a successor in the OnePlus 6T could be far behind. While nothing has been made official, a potential coming may not be hard to visualize considering a sister company may have teased some of its potential specs.

The brand in mention is Oppo with its Oppo R17. While their names may be different, the fact remains that the Oppo R line has been notorious for somehow indicated on what the OnePlus line would apply to its family of devices, Slash Gear said.

Looking ahead, folks who are eager to see what the OnePlus 6T may carry need not look further. At the top of the list is a notch in the display which could very well house the front-facing camera of the device that gradually inclines on its left and right.

Aside from that, other features the OnePlus 6T could come out with include a 6.4-inch full HD (2280x1080 pixel) display protected by Gorilla Glass 6. Power could be stored by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC backed by an Adreno 615 GPU. It may also include a Snapdragon X12 LTE modem.

Further potential specs include seeing a device sporting 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. This could vary, meaning other RAM and ROM configurations could be offered at a higher price.

Other possible features include a dual rear camera (16 MP + 5 MP) and a 25 MP front-facing selfie shooter. It could also come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, a new biometric feature most phones are slowly adapting to date, Forbes said.

It would be best to note that these suggested rumored specs are subject to change. While OnePlus and Oppo have made it a habit to release phones with fairly the same specs, anything can change moving forward. New technology could alter the features of the said devices, depending if manufacturers have enough time to integrate them.

With regards to a release date, it could take place somewhere during the fourth quarter of 2018. It could come out by October at the earliest or even November. It remains to be seen as well if there will be more than one device up for release. Slash Gear speculates that should there be only one coming out, the device would tote 128 GB of internal storage and retail for approximately $570.

The existence of a OnePlus 6T is confirmed, something that a moderator did at the OnePlus forums although no details were given. A sequel is coming only that confirmed specs as the actual release dates remain up in the air.
