A heavy-weight update is all set to roll for New England Patriots. The new report suggests that Josh Gordon has been finalized for the team of Patriots, during his current trade.
The official statement in this regard was revealed on Tuesday afternoon. However, the team had confirmed this update a day before. The transaction will shift Gordon to New England's team from his prior association with Cleveland.
According to NESN, the transaction was first reported by NFL transaction wire, where it stated: "Gordon, who injured his hamstring during his final days with the Cleveland Browns, had passed his Patriots physical. The 27-year old is expected to practice with the Patriots on Wednesday ahead of Sunday night's road game against the Detroit Lions." The transaction was welcomed by Patriots with huge positivity, however, the experts and players have had different opinions over this new swap of Gordon.
Radio.com quoted that the popular show named: Dale & Keefe, which airs from Monday to Friday at 10.00 AM surfaced diverse views on this newest transaction. The show is featuring interviews with the players of New England Patriots during this ongoing playoff season. As per Dale, the issues between Josh Goron and Cleveland will continue during his days New England Patriots as well. These problems won't be sorted out so easily and swiftly.
Keefe's thoughts about Gordon's insertion in the New England Patriots team went in a different direction than Dale. He described the new transaction in a positive manner. He stated: "Patriots will put in the time to help him if they want him to play. Keefe thinks Gordon might have less pressure on him individually than he had in Cleveland and Dale thinks maybe Brady will help Gordon with his off-field issues."
However, Patriots have had to take care of loads of draft picks for having Josh Gordon in the team. A report noted that The Patriots sent a 2019 fifth-round draft pick to Cleveland for the transaction of Gordon to the team. New England Patriots will receive a 2019 seventh-rounder if he is able to play in at least 10 upcoming games for them in this ongoing. Patriots team management, however, has chosen to remain silent regarding this transaction.
While asked about Gordon's respective joining in the team, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick refused to talk about Gordon on the radio. On a conference call with the reporters on Tuesday, he stated that the transaction deal has not yet been finalized.
