It has been at least 20 years since the first generation BMW X5 came on the road. Although at that time, the concept was merely based on SUVs. The newest edition of the same BMW branded car has however left that era behind and turned into a shining Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) for all its fans. The 2019 BMW X5 is also regarded as a family car with enough taste of driving.

According to SlashGear, the BMW X5 concept was prioritized on SUV vehicles only in 1999. During that timeline, people were not aware of the real difference between an SUV and an SAV, as the later was literally new in the vehicle trade in the late 90s. During the mid-twenties, the craze for SAVs became considerably high. Thus, BMW is also coming up with its newest high-end stunner in the segment, dubbed as 2019 BMW X5. The latest car is the fourth generation variant of BMW branded X5 flagships. 

The car reportedly resembles its predecessor models namely X1, X2, X3, X4, X6 & X7 in certain manners alongside a number of newly unveiled developments conveying "its most powerful message yet in terms of presence and modernity. It defines a new X design language - robust, clear and precise," as stated by Adrian van Hooydonk, senior vice president of BMW Group Design. He statement seemed to hint for a lot of big improvements in the vehicle, as spotted by Driving.

The source quoted that the 2019 BMW X5 comes with an extended wheelbase of 42-millimetre, alongside joint increments of 36-millimeters in length, 66 millimeters in width and another 19-millimeters in height, in comparison to BMW's previous X5 variant. As the new vehicle seemed mesmerizing in all its aspects, BMW praised it by saying: "clean surfacing and precise lines accentuating elegant poise and authority."

As for power, the mid-range version of 2019 BMW X5, called as xDrive40i, boasts a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine, which can enable a capacity of 335 horsepower coupled with 330 lb-ft of torque keeping in the limit of 1500-5200 rpm. The car comes with well-spread 19-inch alloy wheels for greater ground clearance best matched for rough roads.

The tail lamps are made up of LED lights with the traditional shape of BMW X5 lineup underlining the X5 trademark at the left corner. The pattern inside the car has also been revamped with a 12.3-inch digital display having ultra-technology support for enabling the best on-road driving experience. 2019 BMW X5 holds 7 seating arrangements, as per the latest updates.
