Jimmy Butler returned to Minnesota Timberwolves with zero resolution in sight as the team continues to the field offers for the four-time all-star player.

According to hnhh, it can be recalled that Jimmy Butler has remained away while the team was in training camp. Following this was another activity called West coast preseason road trip, which he did not attend as well. After all of these, he still demands a trade to a team that he personally chose.

Shams Charania of The Athletic says Butler has reiterated his desire to trade during his meeting with the head coach of Minnesota Timberwolves, Tom Thibodeau. The discussion reportedly happened last Monday, after his comeback with Minnesota. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat is allegedly in progress with Minnesota as they discuss the trade agreement.

Heat is reportedly pushing the Wolves last week to accept the revised trade offer for Jimmy Butler. Unfortunately, the changes proposed by Minnesota have created a breakdown in negotiations according to the report of Marc Stein of The New York Times. As of now, Heat is the most notable team that negotiated with the Timberwolves.

The additional reports say the Los Angeles Clippers have also been in contact with the Timberwolves. However, LA Clippers, like other potential suitors has viewed the price they asked too high.  ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski revealed that Minnesota is seeking the following:

  • Quality veterans
  • Top prospects
  • Future assets and/or cap relief in any Butler trade

Butler, 29-year-old, still rehabs the surgically repaired right wrist. Sadly, he has shown zero intentions in missing the regular season games as long as he is healthy. Wojnarowski also added the team is working out at their facility during the West coast trip. It is reported that Butler has been in regular contact with his teammates as well.

On October 17, the Timberwolves is set to open up the regular season against the San Antonio Spurs. Sports Illustrated said the veteran shooting guard has made it clear he wants to be traded by Friday out of Minnesota. It can be recalled how Butler has not appeared since the training camp opened on September 25.

On the other hand, some reports say Minnesota was there at the beginning of the camp but did not work out. After the preseason opener at the Golden State, Butler reportedly approached his teammates through text and sent messages to Jeff Teague, rookie Josh Okogie and Taj Gibson.
