The much-awaited Apple event is hours away and most are eager to see the new batch of goodies that the Cupertino company will be unveiling. With the iPhones already out in the open, most believe that the next devices getting a much-needed bump would be the iPad Pro and the MacBook Pro series

Unofficially, most have an idea on what to expect. A refreshed look could see the iPad Pro coming out with a wider display with no physical home button present – something similar to the iPhone XS series. There are also potential enhancements such as arming the tablet with a Face ID biometric feature, one the new things that most are anticipating, Engadget said.

Actually, things to come have been further boosted thanks to an icon most may have failed to see when the fifth beta of iOS 12 rolled out. The icon portrays the mold of a rounded iPad that has no home button and notch, 9 to 5 Mac said. Now, there is a new icon out in the wild, offering a more detailed view that has further spurred the potential aesthetics of the iPad Pro 2018.

Icons may not necessarily provide details of things to come but is nevertheless a great indication of things to come. Other than the possible wider display, there are other new features to expect from the next Apple tablet. This includes seeing a sleep/wake button located at the top of the device. Traditionally, these buttons are seen at the side (of iPhones). It looms as a minor iteration although anything could chance once the official unveiling comes around.

As mentioned in a previous post, there are plenty of other things that the iPad Pro 2018 could sport. A long shot suggestion would be to see the tablet making use of an OLED display, something that hints at seeing skyrocketing suggested retail prices. Apple has been notorious for upgrading its screen displays and many believe that this could be a change that may not be made – at least not yet.

There is also the possible shift from the Lightning to the USB Type-C port, practically a no-brainer considering the change has been slowly taking place among Apple’s mobile devices. The removal of the 3.5 mm jack is also a mystery for the iPad Pro 2018. If taken out, the USB Type-C port further makes sense (meaning potential owners will be making use of some special kind of adapter).

All questions surrounding Apple’s next iPad Pro should be cleared within the next 24 hours. The Apple event will go down Oct. 30 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House in New York with the iPad Pro 2018 and other Apple products anticipated to be unveiled.
