Subaru made an announcement on Thursday that it will make 50 of the WRX STI TC 380, all of which will come with upgraded HKS parts.

The car will feature a range of special components that set it apart from the regular models. Most importantly, none will be sold in the United States.

It turns out that this is the limited version of its WRX STI sports sedan: The TC 380 is being revealed exclusively in Japan, where every example of the model will find its home as none are slated to be sent outside Japan.

This new model will be based on Japan's 2.0-litre Subaru WRX STI, a new turbo, exhaust, and catalytic converter, along with a new intake and strut brace developed by former rally driver Toshihiro Arai.

The car's modifications will be overseen by Japanese rally driver Toshihiro Arai, who competed in the World Rally Championship with Subaru. Some the parts that will be integrated into the car include a suite of factory-approved HKS go-fast parts, including a GT III RS Sports turbo kit, a Super Turbo resonator, and a high-flow catalytic converter.

The HKS parts will be installed by Arai Motorsport itself, but it's set to add components of its own, which include an RQA air filter and an in-house front chassis brace to increase frame rigidity. A carbon fiber rear lip spoiler will aid grip at high speeds, and a serial-numbered Recaro bucket seat whose design is exclusive to the TC 380 will clamp the driver down inside.

The full set of the photos are yet to be released by Subaru. It has only shown the badge and approximate silhouette in the one picture that was published. The other thing is about how the way Subaru launches a standalone site for the model.

Subaru intends to manufacture just 50 of the WRX STI TC 380. The automaker opened the cars orders on Saturday. The orders are going for ¥4,965,840 JPY (about $43,900 USD). The price will remain so until all the supplies are exhausted.

This limited version will join a series of other limited -edition WRX variants that have been released in the past to maintain public interest in the model. This comes as the model makes its way to the final end.

Over the summer, Japan managed to get the RA-R while the United States got the Series. Gray and the comparable Raiu Edition.

It is expected that we will have a new generation of the WRX in 2020. The car will have a manual transmission, however, we're yet to determine if the next WRX will be a hybrid.
