After the tragic end of their love story, the former couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will fight on the court for a more heartbreaking cause-a fight over custody of their kids: Maddox Jolie-Pitt 17, Jolie-Pitt -Pitt 14, Zahara Jolie-Pitt 13, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt 12, Know Jolie-Pitt, and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt 10.
The private trial will take at most three weeks, which will start on December 4 of this year through June 30 next year. The entire trial will be facilitated by Retired Judge John W. Odenkirk.
According to a source, while the trial schedule is still next month, the ex-couple are already trying to talk things over and settle things before the trial even begins. Jolie and Pitt are both cooperative to each other as "they're still working together towards an out of court settlement," the source said to E! News.
Some reports claim ex-lovers have already come up with an agreement outside the trial. According to what they've shared, Angelina wants full custody while his ex-husband wants 50-50 joint custody. Unfortunately, the news turned out to be fake.
The source shared, "Angelina is not seeking sole custody of the kids." He further explained how she is trying so hard to fix what has been lost between the relationships of her children and their father. He added, "In terms of the kids' relationship with Brad, Angelina definitely remains committed to helping the kids heal with their father."
Aside from the custody trial, the ex-lovers also wants the private judge to handle their property settlement. This is quite crucial especially that they hadn't made any agreement about the ownership of their assets and arrangement of their liabilities and other financial resources in case their marriage won't work before they tied the knot.
Months ago, Jolie and Pitt encountered different problems with regards to supporting their kids. The "Salt" star accused her ex-husband not paying the agreed financial support she asked for her kids after she filed for a divorce. The "Fight Club" star denied the accusation by saying he has financed them enough. In fact, according to him, he even loaned money so he could give his ex-wife $8 million to support her and their children's needs.
Despite having troubles with each other, Jolie still agreed for Pitt to visit their children after their private judge advised her to do so. According to NZ City, the judge emphasized the importance of a father figure for every child saying, "not having a relationship with their father is harmful." So no matter what happened, a healthy relationship with their parents should always be a priority.
