AMD just unveiled its next-gen update to its very own Polaris technology: Radeon RX 590. The game changer GPU comes with 12 nm process which allows the card to convey revamped performance level. The Radeon RX 590 is the first card to boost AMD's latest 12 nm process. The card can be considered as an upgrade to the existing Radeon RX 590. But it has major specs which are enough to give it a brand new identity.
According to Gadget 360, AMD stated: "the Radeon RX 590 is ideal for playing current AAA game titles at 1920x1080, which is the resolution used by 64 percent of gamers today. Compared to the Radeon RX 580 (Review), the new Radeon RX 590 should provide a 12 percent performance boost within the same thermal and power requirements.
At that resolution, gamers can expect to see performance of over 60fps in Far Cry 5, Monster Hunter World, PUBG and Fortnite; over 90fps in Battlefield 1, Doom, and Forza Horizon 4; and over 120fps in CS:GO, DOTA 2, Overwatch, League of Legends, and COD: Black Ops 4."
As per a report by FirstPost, AMD Radeon RX 590 secures clock speed at 1,469 MHz base and higher peak compute performance at 1,545 MHz. The measurement all totally outperforms the Radeon RX 580 by nearly 16 percent, to be precise.
Specifically, the Radeon RX 590 is slated to secure performance rate between Radeon RX 580 and the Vega 56, "providing decent frame rates for 1080p gaming with a little more leeway to play at higher settings, without the extra cost and features of AMD's Vega chips."
The latest Radeon RX 590 is also reasonable in terms of price range. AMD has kept the introductory price of RX 590 at USD 279 which is just 50 dollars higher than the Radeon RX 580. The later is currently selling at USD 229, as per reliable sources. AMD has also stated that Radeon RX 590 will be marketed globally and it will go on sale from November 15.
The company has given the rights to manufacture the RX 590 card to the major graphics unit makers such as XFX, Asus, Sapphire, and PowerColor. The buyers can expect the shipping of their very own copies of Radeon RX 590 graphics cards by the end of this November only. The insight is not official yet, but according to rumors, AMD is also planning to launch a higher variant of Radeon RX 590, which will directly compete with the company's Vega technology. The confirmation about this is still awaited and the higher variant may be delayed till 2019.
