After parting ways with Houston Rockets recently, Carmelo Anthony is now ready for a team that will be more than glad to take him in. One of the best possible landing spots is the Los Angeles Lakers, Lebron James' current team. But that will have to go through deliberation.

According to Yahoo Sports, Anthony and James have been good friends since they both started in the NBA in 2003, which is why the former is a great contender in joining the Lakers soon. The 34-year-old former Houston Rockets forward signed as a free agent over the summer, and he will be eligible to enter another team on December 15.

Asked about Anthony's possibilities of joining LA Lakers, Lebron James somewhat gave the cold shoulder and said that it is not his call in a way or another. "I have no idea, to be honest," he told reporters. "We don't even have a roster spot open right now so that's not a question for myself."

James, who left his hometown's team Cleveland Cavaliers to join LA Lakers, was rumored to have reached out to Kevin Durant in the summer to team up with him. He is yet to comment about it, but the Golden State Warriors forward previously rebuffed the claim although a sports analyst suggested that there is enough reason for Durant to leave GSW.

It can be recalled when Durant traded words with his teammate Draymond Green after the Warriors overtime loss to Los Angeles Clippers on November 12, which led to many speculations that this could be one of the biggest reasons that the 30-year-old Washington native was rumored to leave GSW soon. Lebron James is known for his remarkable works, and fans are not surprised if he would hang loose in having one of the great players in the history of NBA in his team.

Despite the Ohio native's recent comments in Anthony's possible enlistment in LA Lakers, many fans believed that the 10-time NBA All-Star will join Lebron James soon. Although Houston Rockets had to let him go, the 34-year-old Hall of Famer can still do wonders.

Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey recently announced their split with Anthony as his role for the team doesn't fit in what he can do as a great player. However, he insisted that the 34-year-old NBA star did his best to bring championship to the team. Unfortunately, it just didn't work.

Anthony's camp is reportedly surveying the marketplace for a landing spot, and it wouldn't be possible that he will soon enter Los Angeles Lakers with Lebron James.
