"Red Dead Redemption 2" has been the talk of the town, something that has been keeping players busy. There are versions for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 available with no word yet if a special edition will pop up for PC users.

To date, there is no indication that one is coming although most are still hoping for one. The closest to seeing one was when a programmer teased a PC version of "Red Dead Redemption 2" although the debate right now rages on its legitimacy.

The latest on a potential PC version for "Red Dead Redemption 2" comes from Rockstar Intel, singling out a companion app that allegedly includes references to PC in the codes inside. The thing here is that it may have been a misinterpretation, meaning it could be relevant or not.

Hence, it becomes a guessing game on whether a PC version will come out. There are some who have looked beyond the action-adventure game, keeping tabs on other games from Rockstar such as "Grand Theft Auto V."

Originally released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2013, Rockstar released upgraded PS 4 and Xbox One ports the following year. In 2015, a PC port came out. Could this trend apply to "Red Dead Redemption 2?"

There are several factors to consider should game developers go the extra mile. One is that they will be monitoring the stability of the game on the PS4 and Xbox One before expanding to the PC niche. Feedback will also play a factor in enticing Rockstar to create one for the PC platform - something that has so far been encouraging, Game Spot said.

For the record, the first installment of "Red Dead Redemption" never came out with a version for the PC. Again, this could be a clear indication of things to come but anything is possible if a game is doing great. Further, RDR was made only for the PS3 and Xbox 360 although it can be played on the Xbox One via the backward compatibility route.

There are plenty of twists to consider as to whether a "Red Dead Redemption 2" for the PC will come out. The game consoles, performance and player rants will all play a role. There is also the enhancements that Rockstar Games may have planned - meaning bug fixes and added content could also factor in.

Whatever the case may be, the PC version remains a possibility. It may or may not happen. For the meantime, all "Red Dead Redemption 2" gamers can do is enjoy the game using a PS4 or Xbox One game console.
