With the reveal of official gameplay trailer of “Red Dead Redemption 2,” most are now left pondering if “Grand Theft Auto 6” will follow next. Rockstar Games has not mentioned anything yet about the next installment, but expectations remain high.

Speculations continue to fly with some dissecting some hints from “GTA V Online.” Among the features most are hoping for new missions, new vehicles, a bigger map and new characters, the Economic Times said. While these may be present in the current game edition, nothing concrete has come out so far.

The only thing sure about the game is that it is unlikely to come out in 2019. While there were some who had teased of a potential release date next year, Rockstar Games has all these are nothing but fake news pegged to mislead gamers.

Aside from that, Rockstar Games developers are likely busy trying to fine-tune “Red Dead Redemption” which is slated for release this October. With all resources dedicated to the western-themed action game, it seems logical that no one has started to dip their hands on the next “GTA” installment.

Feasible release date may either be 2020 or 2021. Industry analyst Michael Pachter thinks that these are more valid dates to consider in an interview with Gaming Bolt. Take note that these are the earliest potential dates for the said game.

Hence, all information coming out right now should be taken lightly. Some of the anticipated improvements include the game being developed under the code name Project Americas. That alone sends off some clues, referring to players possibly traveling to and from the US and South America. It suggests the potential existence of Vice City, Rockstar’s version of Miami, Tech Radar suggested.

Other than that, new vehicles could be injected aside from the usually souped-up cars. If one is to take the trend seriously, Rockstar has been introducing some rides ranging from motorbikes, boats, and aircraft. These are expected to carry on to “GTA 6” if and when it does gain ground.

There is also that never-ending suggestion of finally having a female protagonist show up. Most GTA players are aware that the game has been dominated mostly by male characters to depict that machismo flavor for the game. Such has invited criticism to Rockstar who has kept silent on the matter. Given time, they and Take-Two Interactive may be silently pondering on the idea and surprise folks once “Grand Theft Auto 6” takes shape.

Other than that, all gamers can do for now is play the waiting game. Some will have to console themselves with “GTA V Online” for now and possibly crack some of the Easter eggs and tie it up with the much awaited sixth installment.
