Google seems not in the mood to stop surprising its fans with new gifts. The company has already made it massive with its 3rd generation Pixel handsets. It has also gazed up the heat with its newest smartphone operating system: Android Pie.
Many OEMs are still lining up and updating their devices to receive Android Pie. However, Google stacked up to its very own Android devices for the update since October this year and reportedly it is getting ready to test its upcoming update, codenamed Android Q, as potential benchmarking found traces of testing of the same on Pixel 3 XL.
According to GSMArena, though the actual name of Android's next update is still a big mystery. But as it's called for now by the name Android Q, Pixel 3 XL was already listed in Geekbench with Android Q for an operating system. The insight revealed that the Mountain View company is already working on the same and an alpha version testing of the next Android update has already been implemented on the handset.
The test has also revealed relevant scores. The result of the possible implementation which was observed on November 20, 2018, suggested that Google Pixel 3 XL handset secured a Single-Core Score of: '2404'. The smartphone also clinched a Multi-Core Score of: '5810'.
As per another report by GizmoChina, the processor was based on Qualcomm. This means that the famous chipmaker is possibly making up some new processing unit or it may upgrade the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC for the smooth running of Android Q on Pixel 3 XL.
The motherboard on the benchmarking flaunted a 'crosshatch' definition. The topology in the render made it clear that Android Q will run on an octa-core processor. Google released Android Pie on its latest Pixel 3 XL handset just days before.
Although, the company made it clear that the handset will boast Android Pie at faster upgrade platform. It will be upgradable to the next level as " the AOSP source code is fixed so developers can prepare in advance for any future operating system updates."
Potential sources have even started claiming that this alpha testing at the pre-implementation stage of Android Q is based on Google's pilot initiative on Android platform development, which is well known as "Project Treble" Android Q's real name is still in question and it can only be confirmed when Google officially releases any further update on this.
