Jaguar Land Rover's latest subcompact luxury crossover SUV hybrid seems to be taking its hybrid classification as seriously as possible. The upcoming 2020 Range Rover Evoque looks to be packing some surprising features that have learned and will learn from its drivers' experiences.

According to The Verge, the 2020 Range Rover Evoque's latest interiors are as impressive as anyone can expect from an updated version of one of Jaguar Land Rover's premium vehicles. But the most surprising feature that the publication noticed was the dual-purpose rear view mirrors that are present in the 2020 Range Rover Evoque.

Dubbed the "ClearSight Rear View Mirror" by Jaguar Land Rover, the 2020 Range Rover Evoque's rear view mirror synchronizes with a rear-mounted camera with a simple switch at the bottom of the mirror. When activated, the rearview camera provides a 50-degree view of the vehicle's rear.

The augmented experience allows drivers of the 2020 Range Rover Evoque to have an unobstructed view of what is behind them regardless of any obstruction from within the vehicle's rear cabin. One of the animated images featured by The Verge shows the 2020 Range Rover Evoque's rear view mirror filled by the sight of a huge box behind the driver's seat. By flipping the "ClearSight" switch at the bottom, the driver is then given an unobstructed view.

The publication notes that augmented driving equipment such as the "ClearSight Rear View Mirror" are usually after-market modifications installed by car owners. It seems that Jaguar Land Rover is taking the risk to standardize the favored camera modification into their 2020 Range Rover Evoque.

While augmenting the 2020 Range Rover Evoque's rear view mirror seems like a brilliant idea considering the many adopters post-sales, it seems that auto manufacturers will still be unable to use such technology for other parts of the vehicle - such as the side mirrors - due to legal and safety implications. But Jaguar Land Rover has other ways of augmenting the 2020 Range Rover Evoque driving experience besides simply upgrading their mirrors.

The 2020 Range Rover Evoque will apparently come with "artificial intelligence" algorithms designed to learn and understand a driver's preferences. This on-board "artificial intelligence" can automate the 2020 Range Rover Evoque's settings to maximize the comfort and media experience of its riders.

If the revealed features are not exciting enough to hype up potential 2020 Range Rover Evoque owners, the 2019 Chicago Auto Show may have more surprises for those who wish to know more about Jaguar Land Rover's upcoming subcompact. The 2020 Range Rover Evoque's pricing information and delivery information will also be released during the event.
