The wait for Samsung's Galaxy S10 is keeping smartphone enthusiasts on their toes. Samsung's next-generation smartphone has yet to be officially announced but speculation about the Galaxy S10's upcoming look, features, and specs have never been as popular as they are now. Unfortunately for fans of the Galaxy S10, the latest renders of the awaited smartphone may not be to everyone's liking.
Android Police recently covered the unveiling of a new concept render for the Galaxy S10. The new Galaxy S10 render was created by OnLeaks and 91Mobiles and integrates the information from the latest leaks and rumors about the much-awaited smartphone.
As the video mentions, the Galaxy S10 will potentially feature five cameras in total, with two cameras situated in the front screen while the three remaining cameras will be situated in the back. The concept render video does mention that fans of the Galaxy S10 can expect an in-display fingerprint scanner and the return of a headphone jack.
Some of the features that stood out from the new Galaxy S10 concept render include the awkwardly placed screen gap that is supposed to house two front-facing cameras. Android Police notes that while the cameras do require the gap. The Galaxy S10 concept render does take into account that one of the cameras could easily be replaced by a 3D face scanner or iris reader.
Another awkward feature of the Galaxy S10 concept render is the plain arrangement of the three rear-cameras. While the cameras are situated nearly flush into the Galaxy S10's body, the arrangement does not necessarily distinguish itself as a Samsung smartphone aside from the visible logo. Still, fans of the Galaxy S10 should consider that the three rear horizontal camera placement also allows the inclusion of a flashbulb and a heart rate sensor.
Fans may notice that the new concept renders for the Galaxy S10 does not include a fingerprint sensor for the back of the smartphone. It seems that the renderers assume that the Galaxy S10 will fully rely on the in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for its security needs.
While the new Galaxy S10 renders want to capitalize on the dual camera screen gap, the design being shown is not as elegant as the pin-hole design from other concept renderers. BGR recently featured the render by Youtuber Dave Lee which featured the rumored pin-hole design for the front-facing camera with most sensors assumed to be in-display. Fans of the Galaxy S10 will have to decide for themselves which of the current renders are more pleasing to their smartphone palate.
