Los Angeles Lakers team prez Magic Johnson now wants the fans to focus on the whole team's efforts and not only on LeBron James, solely. He stated that he doesn't want James' shoulders to be overtasked and neither he wishes to see Lakers as "Cleveland all over again." Kobe Bryant also supported this statement in his conversation with Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
According to Silver Screen & Roll, Bryant said that James is literally "doing everything" for Lakers and also added: "that's not the recipe for winning the championship by no means," during an annual "All-Access" event at Staples Center on Monday.
He stated: "It's a test of Bron's patience and also doing what he needs to do to keep the team's head above water," "So, it's a balancing act. They were struggling, Bron got the ball, took control, decided to start playing point, doing everything, doing everything."
Bryant said that it is not enough for the entire team "but it is a recipe to keep your head above water, to give yourself a little breathing room, and now it's going back to teaching how to play the way that we want to play." However, LeBron took the statements positively.
As per another report by abc30, LeBron said: "I understand the logic behind it." "I understand what Magic and Kobe are saying because we want to continue to grow the young guys. We want to see how much our young guys can grow and be the best they can be. I mean, Magic and Kobe know who I am. I know who I am. They know what they're going to get out of me."
Bryant's statements were a bit of ironic in all manner as when Johnson joined Lakers back in 2017 he only stressed on LeBron's performance to win the championship for the team. LeBron's replied in a ridiculing but backfiring manner to those statements only.
He added: "That is, you know what you're going to get out of me every game. Am I going to play well every game? Am I going to shoot the ball well every game? No. But you know who I am, and when it's time to -- when it's really, really, really money time, you know who is going to be there." LeBron himself has been a gem on the charts of champs. The fans of Lakers would surely like to see him more in action in coming days.
