Game of Thrones is finally ending after eight seasons and to say that fans are already sad is putting it lightly. According to Gwendoline Christie, Game of Thrones Season 8 is going to be very emotional, so much so, that fans would want to seek therapy afterward.

Christie shared what little she could about the final installment of the hit HBO series during a red carpet interview at the premiere of her new film Welcome to Marwen. The actress summed up what fans can expect from the season in an interview with E! News correspondent Erin Lim.

"You're going to need therapy."

The 40-year-old actress could not confirm or deny when asked if she is referring to the expected character deaths in Game of Thrones Season 8. Instead, Christie said that the show ending itself "is going to send all of the world into professional help."

It is not just the Game of Thrones fans feeling the emotion too. Christie admits that she is going to get incredibly emotional about living the show. She says she and her fellow cast members share the same sentiment. They too feel emotional over the fact that Season 8 is the end, and that it is "the end of something incredibly significant" for all of them, which she says has been an "incredible thing to be a part of."

In the same interview, Christie reveals that Janelle Monae, her co-star in Welcome to Marwen, is a massive fan of the show. She has been trying to pry secrets about Game of Thrones Season 8 out of her, but no to avail. In any case, the actress is thankful that people are always respectful when it comes to the casts' decision to keep their lips sealed about potential spoilers or to keep the secrecy surrounding the series.

Christie reprises her role as Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones Season 8. The last time fans saw Sansa Starks' former bodyguard; she was at the Dragonpit with Jon Snow and Daenerys trying to convince Cersei Lannister to send aid in the fight against the Night King. She reunited with Jaimie and even tried to talk some sense into him about joining the battle and asked him to convince his sister to help.

Brienne is among the brave people who will face off against the Night King and his army of White Walkers when Game of Thrones Season 8 opens. Whether she lives or dies in the aftermath is something that fans need to watch out for when the show airs in April 2019.
