Nvidia's next generation of graphics processing units are highly anticipated by a significant number of users and it seems the specifications are being found in the unlikeliest of places. But while the latest performance leak for the Nvidia RTX 2060 Max-Q and Nvidia RTX 2060 Mobile may be exciting for Nvidia GPU enthusiasts and professionals, it seems that the information that's public has conflict issues.

Toms Hardware recently published a story about the discovery of what could be the specifications of the Nvidia RTX 2060 Max-Q and its Mobile variant by a Twitter user. As the publication notes, the Twitter account TUM_Apisak was earlier responsible for unraveling the potential specifications of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q and now is also responsible for revealing the potential specifications of the Nvidia RTX 2060 Max-Q and Nvidia RTX 2060 Mobile.

Toms Hardware notes that TUM_Apisak was able to find the potential leaks on 3DMark - a known benchmarking website. Based on the Twitter users' reveal, it seems that fans of Nvidia's GPUs can expect the Nvidia RTX 2060 Max-Q and Nvidia RTX 2060 Mobile to both have a Memory capacity of 6GB. Still, the Nvidia RTX 2060 Max-Q and its Mobile variant have some pretty significant differences based on the leak.

Even with the same memory, the Nvidia RTX 2060 Max-Q will have a higher base clock speed of 975Mhz in comparison to the Mobile's 960Mhz. But the Nvidia RTX 2060 Mobile will have a much faster memory clocking in at 1,750Mhz in comparison to the Max-Q variant's 1,500Mhz.

What Nvidia GPU enthusiasts may find interesting though is the fact that the performance reports for the Nvidia RTX 2060 in another leak - taken from Geekbench - are vastly different from the ones reported by TUM_Apisak. As Tom's Hardware points out, the Geekbench leaks for the Nvidia RTX 2060 and its variants to have a boost clock of 1,200Mhz.

This is not the first time that benchmark results for the Nvidia RTX 2060 have been leaked to the public and not the first leak that also conflicts with already revealed information. Tom's Hardware has already noted before that news about the Nvidia RTX 2060's performance was already leaked previously in a "Final Fantasy XV" benchmark database.

The Nvidia RTX 2060 leak from the "Final Fantasy XV" benchmark database performed quite poorly in comparison to the GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q model. Compared to the Geekbench leaks, the Nvidia RTX 2060 apparently performs above the GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q, the GTX 1060 Mobile, and the GTX 1060 Max-Q.

Enthusiasts and professionals hoping to find more stable information about the upcoming Nvidia RTX 2060 Max-Q and Mobile should sit tight until more leaks can corroborate what has been released. Hopefully, a clearer picture about the Max-Q and the Mobile variants of the RTX 2060 can be made before the year ends.
