Women's menstruation is often a taboo subject since time immemorial. But with the innovations and latest feminine care products today, the advances are teaching everyone about women's health and body that will break the stigma about their period and well-being.

According to the South China Morning Post, the rise in female health products like the period-tracking apps, fertility wearable, and feminine hygiene help changing the perceptions. Lea von Bidder, the co-founder of ovulation tracker Ava, said that the tampon commercial she saw when she was young sent a message that women tried so hard to forget about their period.

So with the growth of feminine care innovations, it helps to shift the attitude and give awareness to women's health - especially about menstruation. Von Bidder said that women are now more interested understanding what is going on with their bodies because of these advances. They can now track their bodies' hormonal changes during their cycle.

In the early days, women use traditional methods tracking their fertility like measuring their temperature to see if they are ovulating and using urine strips. These schemes are said to be confusing and inaccurately detecting ovulation. So the innovations today help them know their body more. "For me, the main goal is to give women insights about their body and health in an easy and convenient way that was never before possible," von Bidder said.

As women become more conscious about their body, von Bidder hopes that modernism will help reduce the stigma about women's well being. Von Bidder went on to say, via Automobilnews.eu, there are many old wives' tales that try to inform women about themselves, leaving them uninformed with subjects based on facts. So, she sees that there is a dire need to give women the right education and proper information about their body.

On the other hand, Zoe Chan, founder of Happeriod.com that sells trendy female hygiene products, believes that the improvements in feminine hygiene help to dispel the misconceptions about women's well being.  She revealed that the marketplace for these kinds of products is rising because women are now more open-minded today.

However, although there is a rise in innovations in female health care, both Chan and von Bidder are surprised that the advances in tech space are still slow. Chan is continuously hoping that there will be more initiative to create modern solutions for women to help them know more about their body and completely remove the taboo and stigma surrounding their well being.
