Nintendo was earlier said to make it big in 2019. The latest insights coming from reliable sources have started hinting that it will be bigger than what was expected earlier. A number of analysts have started pointing out that Nintendo is planning to unwrap a handheld version of its popular gaming console: 'Switch'. What's more of a surprise is that the new Switch will be released in two versions, a 'Lite' one alongside a 'Pro' edition.
Comicbook stated that Nintendo may have been working on a revised version of Switch console for 2019. Although, the company has still kept it a secret in all aspects. Michael Pachter, an analyst for Wedbush Industries, came up with the theory that Nintendo is making up a handheld edition of Switch model for a price range less than USD 199. He stated: "I expect the device to have the same screen, but with Joy Cons built into the body and no docking station. Since it can't 'switch' from handheld to console, it's hard to guess what they will call it, but let's assume Game Boy."
As per another report by TweakTown, Dr. Serkan Toto, an analyst from Kantan Games came up with the idea that Nintendo will be launching the next-gen Switch in three model editions: the first variant is a 'Lite' version, the secondary console being a 'Pro' edition and the third one, possibly a brand new 'Mini' Switch console. He said: "While the 2019 Switch Pro has been already reported to be in development by the Wall Street Journal, I also think Nintendo will offer a "Switch Lite" (or just keep the current version at a lower price) to cover the lower-end of the spectrum and offset sinking 3DS sales."
Both the analysts stated that Nintendo will be price tagging the next-gen Switch consoles at a mid-range price line. Whether it is a strategy made by the company to win the battle against its potential rival consoles such as Sony PlayStation and Xbox, is still a question to be answered by Nintendo. However, it will be a great opportunity for game lovers who are planning to play the best titles this year as well as of the last year. The major features and specifications of the upcoming console are still mysteries. It is not at all certain yet, but interested players can expect to see all the new Nintendo Switch consoles by the end of the first phase of 2019.
