2019 expect a lot of rollouts and this includes the latest Android mobile operating system. And as far as Samsung is concerned, Android Pie may have just started rolling out thanks to the watchful eyes of some outlets.
According to Sam Mobile, the Android Pie update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has started rolling out over in Germany for the Exynos chipset-backed variant. However, it was not mentioned if other territories are getting the same Android OS update as well.
For those who want to check if the Android Pie rollout is also happening in their end, keep a watchful eye on the software version N960FXXU2CRLT. The latest update includes security patches and new features like Adaptive Brightness, Android Authority said. The report further adds that Galaxy Note 9 owners running the beta version of the software needed 95 MB to download and install. This could be different for general users, largely depending on what Android OS version they have installed on their device.
This development goes in line with the rollout done for both beta and non-beta users. It also means that the Galaxy Note 9 becomes the third Samsung handset to receive the much-awaited Android OS upgrade. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus got its update back on Dec. 24, 2018.

Other features that Android Pie will bring to Samsung handset owners include an option to lock home screen icons, enabling night mode, the camera UI getting a dedicated video recording mode, an alternative to screen auto rotate toggle and an Adaptive Battery feature for owners who have issues on the longevity of use of their handset. The Android Pie rollout should somehow mellow down the anticipation on the Samsung Galaxy S10, something expected to come out before the Mobile World Congress 2019.
As mentioned in a previous post, three of the five models are expected to debut before MWC 2019 with the remaining two expected to follow by the end of the first half of 2019. The three models expected to break the ice are the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite (the entry-level offering), Samsung Galaxy S10 Edge and the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. Of the three, the S10 Edge and the S10 Plus are expected to come out with curved displays. The other two models are the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and the Samsung Galaxy S10 Bolt.
