The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has finally come out, filled with the latest features that come at a hefty price. Looking fairly similar to last year’s model and the Samsung Galaxy S9, there are notable upgrades to single out on the latest phablet offering of the Korean Tech giant.

Among the notable features, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has to offer an extra-wide and bezel-less 6.4-inch Quad HD+ (2960x1440 pixel) Super AMOLED display and come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core chipset for potential buyers in the United States. Folks who get the phablet outside the US will get an Exynos 9810 SoC instead, IGN said.

Aside from those, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 base model will also feature a Mali-G72 GPU, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Only the dual-SIM model with have provisions for expandable storage (up to 512 GB) via microSD. It will rely on a huge non-removable Li-Ion 4,000 mAh battery that can allegedly last a whole day and come armed with a dual main camera (12 MP + 12 MP) and a front-facing 8 MP selfie shooter. For biometric security, it will have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and an Iris scanner, GSM Arena said.

For users who are willing to shell out a bit more, there is the high-end model available. This one will come with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. The base model retails for about $1,000 while the high-end one costs $1,250.

Other specs that remain include a headphone jack, wireless charging ready, and a new version of DeX that allows owners to connect the device to a larger monitor via HDMI connectivity. This is expected to come in handy when making presentations or when folks want to view videos via a larger screen.

There is also the S-Pen, a notable accessory that helps people in their navigation and writing. For the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, the S-Pen comes with some notable changes. This includes allowing owners to translate web pages, take partial screenshots and more. The battery life of the S-Pen can reportedly last up to 30 minutes on standby or 200 button clicks. Recharging is done once it is inserted back into the slot of the phablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is already available for pre-order with the company even offering some bonuses for those who do so. This includes either availing 15,000 V-Bucks in Fortnite or noise-canceling AKG headphones. People who prefer to get both can shell out an additional $99 aside from the actual price.

At a starting price of $1,000, most may want to consider looking at other phones that cost way cheaper. But if branding is preferred with money, not a concern, this is one device that should be worth every penny.
