A recent video of Hugh Jackman working out at the gym had fans believing that he is preparing to return as Wolverine. The cryptic caption that accompanied the footage further fuelled fans' excitement to see the actor back as the clawed hero.
Jackman recently took to social media to share a video of him working out at the gym. The snap shows the actor lifting weights, and although it is nothing but a workout video, fans took it as a hint that perhaps he is buffing up so he can portray Wolverine again. The Australian actor included a caption in the video that sent fans into meltdown.
"Gym Heckler. #dogpound #Bri #cameo."

A representative for the actor told People that Jackman is not training for any movie. Instead, he is preparing for his world arena tour for The Man. The Music. The Show, which will showcase the music from the soundtrack album of The Greatest Showman.
Regardless, fans are not convinced and continue to speculate that Jackman is working out unusually hard for a tasking role. The "cameo" caption in his video perked up fans' interest, and soon they flooded the actor's post with comments about his possible return as Wolverine. One fan wrote that Jackman is getting in shape to portray the Marvel character again and welcomed him back as Logan.
Meanwhile, others supposed that the 50-year old is training so hard for cameo appearances in various films including in another Deadpool film opposite Ryan Reynolds. The Canadian actor has been insistent in convincing Jackman to wear his claws again for another one-on-one battle with the Merc with a Mouth in Deadpool 3.
Moreover, Marvel fans are keeping their fingers crossed that Jackman will have a cameo appearance in the anticipated Avengers: Endgame. Wolverine is not part of the roster of characters in the Avengers film franchise, but so is Captain Marvel, who is set to appear in the sequel. So perhaps Wolverine might be in the film after all. Other than these two comic book film adaptations, Jackman could be working out for his rumored role in the CIA drama The Good Spy.
Jackman last played Wolverine in the 2017 film Logan and vowed it to be his final portrayal as the clawed mutant. The actor took on the iconic role of the Marvel character in 2000 in Bryan Singer's X-Men movie. He has portrayed Wolverine for 17 years.
