Good news to all Apple AirPower hopefuls because the wireless charging mat may very soon be out in the market.
A leak from a credible source claims that the AirPower has entered production. ChargerLab, a HongKong website, and a reliable tipster posted a tweet on January 12 saying that LuxShare Precision, a Chinese manufacturing company and a member of the Wireless Power Consortium started the production of the charging pad. Luxshare also assembles the AirPods for Apple-and Lightning to USB-C cables.

The Tweet comes with a screenshot from the Chinese messaging app, WeChat. When translated using the Google Translate app for photos on iPhone, part of the message screenshot says that he is excited that the AirPower will be soon b released. The translated WeChat message screenshot then gives justice to ChargerLabs claim that AirPower is now in the manufacturing process.

Just a day after their Apple AirPower production tweet, ChargerLab posted an update saying that another Apple OEM is set to start the AirPower mass production soon. The Tweet that was supported by another WeChat conversation screenshot posted at 1:19 a.m. January 13 said that Pegatron will begin the production on January 21 according to another credible source.
The AirPower is an oval-shaped wireless charging pad that is intended to accommodate charging three different Apple devices at the same time. It is like coming home from work and taking your AirPods from your pocket, removing your Apple watch and bringing out your iPhone and putting all of them together in one wireless charging mat and simply do your thing while the AirPower does the charging, SlashGear reported.
The AirPower production was hinted way back in when Steve Jobs Theater showcased its preview on 2017 after the iPhone x release. On October, Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst said that the wireless charging pad may be out in early 2019. The said declaration was the last news heard about AirPower which made the followers believe that the Cupertino tech giant canceled the production. The AirPower, however, remained referenced in the iPhone XS, iPhone XS max and iPhone XR user guides.

Rumors began spreading that the reason behind the AirPower release was due to some technical issues. Sonny Dickson, an occasional Apple leaks source stated that some of the issues Apple faced with the wireless charging pad includes overheating and interference issues. Steve Troughton-Smith, on the other hand, released a statement weeks ago that Apple may have fixed the said technical issues, according to MacRumors.
