AirPower will finally be hitting the market later in 2019.
It seems that Apple's AirPower is drawing more and more attention as days go by. With the tech giant remaining quiet whether the wireless charging mat will push through with production and will be out in the market or will completely be halted from the assembly, the more anticipators are getting curious on the real status of its launch.
The latest report for the week could add up to the hopes that AirPower will surely hit the market. Digitimes released a statement clearly stating that the Apple AirPower release is imminent and will happen later in 2019.
Two parts of the statements from the report were so enough to assure that the waiting for the Apple's wireless charging mat is not in vain. The phrases imminent and later in 2019 gave the AirPower supporters strong assurance that the project has not been abandoned despite the lack of information coming out from the Cupertino tech giant. A part of the report stated that the AirPower is expected to boost certain suppliers of its components.
Light-On Semiconductor, a Glass Passivated Package (GPP) bridge rectifier supplier has been supplying according to reports. Sources also say that there had been no report of the Light-On Semiconductor halting its supply thereby strengthening the speculations that the AirPower production is really going on. The supply is expected to increase once the wireless charging mat has finally been launched in the market late 2019.
AirPower was expected to be launched in 2018. With Apple missing the deadline due to some technical issues they faced, rumors began to spread that the tech giant will no longer push through with the wireless charging mat production. Every report and hint that comes out about the AirPower release would not miss the attention of the wireless charging pad anticipators weighing the possibilities of its release.
There have been a number of reports in the past weeks that contributed to the assurance of the AirPower launch. One is the report from ChargerLab, a Hongkong website saying that the AirPower is on its way to the Luxshare Precision production. Pegatron on the other hand allegedly released a specific date which is January 21 when the wireless charging mat production rollout will begin.
Another proof that the AirPower launch was not halted is its name is listed as one of the iPhone xS smart battery description references in Malaysia. The wireless charging mat wishers will just have to wait for further reports and keep their fingers crossed for the AirPower to be launched soon, according to MacRumors.
