This may be the very first time that auto lovers will have an opportunity to lay their eyes on the controversial Honda Urban EV.

Honda recently announced that a prototype of the cute little city car is on its way. Honda just confirmed that the 2019 Geneva Motor Show on March will be an event where the new prototype of the Honda Urban EV will be showcased. The prototype will be the auto lovers' first glimpse into the upcoming model which will roll out in production soon.

The Car Buzz hinted that Honda released a statement of assurance to begin the Honda Urban EV production anytime soon. He further assured that EV hopes will see the cute little city car rock the market this year.

Honda released a leaked image telling so much about some small yet important details about the Honda Urban EV. The photo shows EV boasting at its compact clean design although a few small changes are expected to take place. The regular headlights are replaced with round LED ones.

Honda Urban EV leaked photo silently says that side mirrors are things of the past and are traditional in a sense. The photo shows that instead of side mirrors, EV showcases rearview cameras.

It was in the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show that the Honda Urban EV concept made its first public appearance. EV received quite a big amount of positive response that is why Honda decided to push through with production.

Probably one major factor that the Honda Urban EV concept received such a high acceptance to the crowd is its modern electric train characteristics mixed with retro styling. Another factor is that EV resembles the mixed Honda N6000 and first-gen Volkswagen Golf features.

Days after the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, a leaked photo of the Honda Urban EV concept surfaced online. It shows a not so rounded design as compared to what will be released in production. The photo describes more details of EV being a very practical city car having five doors instead of just three.

A representative from Honda later said in a statement and said that purpose and functionality are their main focus in developing Honda Urban EV, Honda's new electric vehicle. They added the through its unique, clean and simple design the prototype photo leak says so much about the automaker's vision.

It is still unknown if the Honda Urban EV production will be available for the U.S. while the automaker promises to electrify 30 percent of its European lineup by 2025, according to the Auto Blog.
