Fans are left confused after YG Entertainment, and MLD Entertainment released conflicting statements regarding iKON's Yunhyeong and Momoland's Daisy's alleged romance. There are swirling rumors the two K-pop idols are dating a couple of months now, and Daisy even admitted the truth about it.
There are reports Daisy and Yunhyeong are now in a relationship. They have reportedly dated three to four months ago without everyone's knowledge. So to address the issue, YG Entertainment and MLD Entertainment released its statement to clear things up.
But instead of answering fans' questions, the agencies even left them confused. According to Soompi, iKon's agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed Daisy and Yunhyeong are not going out on a date. "With interest in each other, they met up a few times, but they are not dating," it said.
Momoland's music company, MLD Entertainment, on the other hand, said Daisy and Yunhyeong are going out on a date. "After checking [with Daisy], we confirmed that they have been seeing each other for three months with interest in one another," it revealed.
Even Daisy admitted that she is dating Yunhyeong, although she didn't reveal how they have been going out. Sports Seoul earlier reported, via Metro, the two's alleged relationship, and they are already an item.
Daisy and Yunhyeong reportedly met as a "senior and junior" in the industry. They then became friends and started dating. They allegedly enjoy going out together whenever they have free time just like other couples.
Another source revealed Daisy and Yunhyeong's alleged relationship is "already widely known" to the industry's representatives. Although they don't often see each other because of their busy schedules, they remain to cherish one another.
From the looks of it, iKON's agency, YG Entertainment, is the only one that denied Daisy and Yunhyeong's dating rumors. So to support their favorite idols, fans revealed their sentiments on Twitter and stood up for the alleged couple.
"No one's allowed to hate on Yunhyeong nor Daisy," a fan said. Another one said Daisy and Yunhyeong are only "caught up" in an awkward situation as they might be indeed going out, but not yet on the level of in a relationship. So, it may be the cause of confusion and conflicting statements.
It has been known that the K-Pop music industry is not supporting dating among idols. The business even considers it a scandal, so it is no surprise Daisy, and Yunhyeong are trying to keep their profile low about their alleged relationship.
