Fans have to wait a little while before they see Riverdale Season 3 Episode 13, titled "Requiem for a Welterweight," as the show is on a brief hiatus. But as The CW drops a new teaser for the next episode, it reveals why it is definitely worth the wait.
"Archie (KJ Apa) steps back into the ring; Alice (Madchen Amick) goes deeper with the Farm," Riverdale Season 3 Episode 13's official synopsis read. "Jughead (Cole Sprouse) visits the Heart of Darkness; Veronica (Camila Mendes) juggles dueling villains."
Riverdale Season 3 Episode 13's video promo shows Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) staring straight into the camera with a smirk on her face. The scene then cuts to Jughead and Toni (Vanessa Morgan), who get reunited in the diner. "We are a family," Jughead says, to which Toni responds with; "Not anymore."
In the next Riverdale Season 3 Episode 13, Veronica (Camila Mendes) meets Jughead's mom, Gladys (Gina Gershon). It has yet to reveal why Veronica visits Gladys, but she warns her that "things could get messy." When Glady feels unshaken and tells her she seems trying to shake her down, Veronica only shrugs.
The Riverdale Season 3 Episode 13 trailer then shows different shots of its characters. It reveals Archie going back to the boxing ring, asking Sheriff Tom Keller (Martin Cummins) if she will be by her side. "I need you in my corner," he tells her. The teaser doesn't reveal Tom's response, but it shows she walks away.
Later, Archie plants a kiss on Josie (Ashleigh Murray). The Riverdale Season 3 Episode 13 then pans to Betti (Lili Reinhart) running to save Alice from the ritual at The Farm. Alice is put underwater and never emerges. The next scene shows Betti crouching on Alice's body and telling the group she's not breathing.
Riverdale Season 3 Episode 13 trailer ends with Gladys and Veronica's confrontation. You better say 'Nadé Maria' for Mommy," Gladys tells her.
According to Seventeen Magazine, Riverdale Season 3 Episode 13 will be overly dramatic with all the events happening between the cast. There will be a lot of tension between Gladys and Veronica. Choni will also be starting a new gang while Archie will return to his old ways.
Also, Riverdale Season 3 Episode may explore the rebirthing rituals, and fans may finally meet Edgar Evernever and learn more about The Farm. "Requiem for a Welterweight" will air on Wednesday, February 27, on The CW.
