Caitriona Balfe teases her Outlander co-star Sam Heughan on social media, showing fans how really close they are. The actor went hiking over the past weekend and he was apparently trapped in a place where he shouldn't be, so the actress made fun of him via Twitter.

Heughan posted a shirtless photo of him on his Instagram last February 10, sharing he went hiking but he was trapped in a forest and needed some help to get out, the EconoTimes reported. The actor joked that he eventually arrived on an American Airforce base but couldn't get it because he doesn't have an ID. Then, he went on to say he managed to leave after calling his Uber driver who was ex-military (Cheers Brent).

 

Seeing the post, Balfe teases her Outlander co-star via Twitter. The actress shared what's on her mind about Heughan being trapped in a forest. She made fun of him by reposting the actor's shirtless photo and said he looks like he lost his shirt and his arm seems to be broken.

The actress then asked if he's okay and ended her post joking about Heughan's hat being the wrong way round. The funny interaction between Balfe and Heughan made fans really happy and it only shows how really close the Outlander co-stars.

Meanwhile, it has been already confirmed the show will have an additional two seasons. So, let's talk about the latest updates regarding Outlander season 5. Executive Producer Maril Davis recently revealed that writers were already working on the fifth season and they are already back on the writers' room.

Both Balfe and Heughan will reportedly be the produces the fifth season as well. In an interview with the IrishTimes, it was noted that actress will be a producer on the fifth season, alongside Hueghan.

As for the upcoming seasons of Outlander, it will reportedly be based on the fifth and sixth books on the Gabaldon's series: The Fiery Cross and A Breath Of Snow And Ashes. While there were very few details about the future seasons of the show, but the will likely consist of 12 episodes.

Fans will also have the chance to work with Balfe and Heughan as it was previously announced show executives were hiring fans to work on the set of Outlander season 5. Those who are interested, they can apply to several positions such as lightning, carpentry, production design, props, costume design, as well as other production works. Applications reportedly started back in November until February.
