Netflix is probably looking to reformat its superhero shows. Or the streaming firm is possibly making the necessary adjustments in order to keep its flicks more competitive. The reasons are yet to be revealed but Marvel story Jessica Jones Season 3 will go on air with signs that it will be its last run.

For a stretch, the popular and leading video-coursing company has been airing five franchises from Marvel. Iron Fist, Luke Cage and The Punisher have been booted out. Although the move has been understandable due to a considerably low viewer's turnout, getting its more famous superhero off the air is something else. Now, Jessica Jones is also treading the exit line.

Daredevil has been riding high with three successful runs when Netflix decided to ground it. There may be a lot of questions to consider to the male-driven heroes but controversy has hounded the crime-fighting lady, who is also known as Jewel, Knightress and Power Woman, on the exit queue.

It is astounding to know that the third installment of Jessica Jones has been blocked without even getting an episode on the air yet. It is highly likely that such an approach has been attributed to a couple of impactful reasons.

One, Netflix is showing Marvel franchises as a film provider. It does not own the rights to these shows. By being a promotional outfit, its revenues is definitely far less. The current approach of the firm may be about realigning its resources in order to maximize its earnings.

Two, the entry of Disney on the streamlining bandwagon poses a huge threat to Netflix. It is inevitable that the movie giant will put all its assets into good use for its very own benefit. As early as now, it is likely that Netflix will be instituting some countermeasures to protect its interests.

Despite the triumphant run of Jessica Jones with Krysten Ritter on the lead role, the expensive costs associated with airing derived or borrowed shows may just be too much to bear for Netflix in the long-term. It is also possible that the company has an array of replacements on its arsenal.

The truth is the network has opened a couple of new shows. The Umbrella Academy, whose story focuses on the reunification and revenge of a flawed superhero family, is entering its first season. In addition, Millarworld is also online to bring in Wanted, Kick-Ass, Chosen, The Unfunnies and War Heroes.

Fans will still have a big reason to celebrate as Jessica Jones Season 3 will be unfolded on the screen.  How the franchise will fare after this stretch remains to be seen.
