Abby Lee Miller tells it all in her first ever interview after her release from Victorville Federal Correctional Institution in California. The 52-year-old television personality reveals her bad experience in prison and claims she was abused while serving time for bankruptcy fraud.
Abby Lee Miller revealed she had been the "target of abuse" when she stayed for eight months in prison. In a now-deleted post on Instagram, the Dance Moms star shared a photo of her interview with Inside Edition. Although the talk aired on television on February 6, she only posted it online on President's Day.
In the interview, Abby Lee Miller detailed what she went through inside the penitentiary. "I have already been through the ringer," she said. She went on to say to the publication's Chief Correspondent Jim Moret that her first day in the correctional institution was her "worst day." "They tried to rip my eyelashes off that were extensions," she revealed.
Aside from that, Abby Lee Miller also claimed she was thrown into solitary confinement after they falsely accused her of posting a photo of herself with some visitors while in prison. They then took away her thyroid and diabetes medications, and even the guards singled her out.
"I would have strange guards that were never in our unit, that I never saw before," Abby Lee Miller added. The dance choreographer continued to say these guards would walk and ask her fellow inmates of the "Dance Mom lady's" whereabouts. They then would come to her locker, took a can of red soda pop, shook it open, and sprayed it all over her clothes.
Victorville Federal Correctional Institution, on the other hand, has yet to give a statement about Abby Lee Miller's claims. According to Hollywood Life, despite what happened, the dance instructress is now free and will soon return to the small screen with Dance Moms: Resurrection.
Fans will once again see Abby Lee Miller teaching young hopefuls to be professional dancers in Dance Moms: Resurrection after her imprisonment and a serious health scare. She was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the immune system.
After 10 rounds of chemotherapy, Abby Miller has been declared cancer-free, although she still needs to undergo back surgery. She is now slowly recovering and will chronicle her experience on Dance Moms: Resurrection.
Abby Lee Miller now wants to put the memory of being in the federal prison behind her and enjoy life. She even showed it in a post on Instagram when she stuck her tongue out and trying to catch some snowflakes.
