Although Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were already separated, several reports have been constantly claiming they are getting back together. But the truth is, the two aren't planning to reunite despite consistent reports.
Here are the five rumors about the ex-spouses planning to rekindle their romance, as per Gossip Cop.
Back in August, OK! Magazine reported the ex-couple planned to get back together after Affleck allegedly agreed to a "marriage and rehab ultimatum." The outlet insisted the actor willingly checked into a treatment facility as Garner allegedly promised she will call off their divorce if he seeks help for his alcohol addiction. While it's true he went to rehab last year, he didn't do that with the condition to save their marriage. In fact, after he checked out in the facility last October, the ex-spouses have finalized their divorce.
NW magazine also reported in August that Garner decided to take back Affleck for the sake of their three kids. The source of the tabloid said the actress allegedly believed their children need to have two parents living in the same household, so she decided to stay married and set aside their differences. But then, as previously mentioned, the ex-spouses finalized their divorce after a few months.
It's worth mentioning that Garner is in a relationship with CaliGroup CEO John Miller, and Entertainment Tonight recently reported she's been seeing her ex-husband less often and her relationship with Miller has gotten more serious.
In July, OK! Australia wrongly reported Garner allegedly said in an interview she's "not ready" to divorce Affleck. The actress never said such statement and those words never came out of her mouths. The tabloid was likely referring to the actress's profiled on CBS' Sunday Morning, where she talked about her split.
On that same month as well, Star magazine made a false narrative claiming the actress was pregnant with Affleck's baby after they allegedly spent two nights at her house. At that time, the actor was dating Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus, so it's unlikely he spent two nights with his ex-wife. Affleck's rep also dismissed the claim and said the report is "crazy." In addition, the time has already passed and there were no reports Garner was indeed pregnant.
Lastly, NW magazine reported in April the ex-spouses decided to give their marriage a second shot. The tabloid asserted the two rekindled their romance after spending times with their three kids. But even though Affleck and Garner stayed on good terms and successfully co-parent their kids, they never rekindled their romance. Clearly, the ex-couple has no plans to reunite and Gossip Cop noted the two are officially divorced as of February 2019.
