Netflix has yet to announce The Dragon Prince Season 3, but fans are hopeful that a new installment will come. With positive reviews and good reception - it is even dubbed as Game of Thrones for kids - it will take no time for the streaming service to renew the series. Even the series co-creators Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond already have "a clear vision" of what is going to happen.

Netflix usually takes a month or a week before it announces show renewals. So in The Dragon Prince Season 3's case, the streaming network is expected to make an official announcement in mid-March. However, it can also hold the news along with the show creators to make a bigger revelation at a fan convention as the previous season's renewal was announced at New York Comic Con 2018, per ScreenRant.

After the previous season finale, the story might be different in The Dragon Prince Season 3. Although they split- up and went on their own ways, Claudi and Soren's return to Katolis might ignite a reunion at the castle.

Callum might continue his journey in The Dragon Prince Season 3 to become a mage. After he managed to get connected to the Sky Arcanum, he might work on getting tied on other primal arcanums that might help bring him to Aaravos.

The other Human Kingdoms might also be dealing with the spell's fallout that sent shadow elf assassins to each realm with Aaravos and Viren's alliance. Ezran might also need to face the chaos Viren brought as he aims to take the throne. He might get the help of Queen Aanya in The Dragon Prince Season 3 to lead the town as a young ruler.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Ehasz and Richmond, they revealed they already have an idea for The Dragon Prince Season 3. "We are still ahead on the story where we have a clear vision for what we want to do," Ehasz told Inverse. "Hopefully, the appetite is strong or stronger than it was last time, and Netflix feels energized to get behind us and keep this moving along."

If Netflix asks for another set of episodes for The Dragon Prince Season 3, Ehasz said they are going to move "at the best pace" they could. "We're creatively running. So we're gonna keep going," he added.

From the looks of it, The Dragon Prince Season 3 will be following the same schedule of its previous seasons. Season 1 was out on September 14, 2018. Five months later, Season 2 was released on February 15. If the new season would follow the same timeline, it might be dropped mid-July.
