It was reported over a year ago that Benn Affleck was planning to make a movie with Kristen Wiig because he wanted to reinvent himself as a comedian. However, that claim never happened until now, which only proves the actor has never planned to make a movie with the comedian actress.

OK! Magazine reported on February 26, 2018, that Affleck was "chasing" Wiig even though he's dating Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus. The reason why he's allegedly doing this is that he wanted to make a movie with the actress to become a comedian. A so-called source at that time asserted the actor was worried his reputation was deteriorating, but he could save it if he could show a lighter side of himself. So, he asked Wiig if they could work together and write something they could co-star in.

The untraceable insider insisted the comedian actress wasn't interested collaborating with Affleck as she didn't want to upset Shookus since she's her friend and also a former colleague. However, during those times, Wiig's rep confirmed to Gossip Cop the claim of the tabloid was not true at all. The spokesperson said the actor never contacted Wiig just to talk about the alleged collaboration. The time has already proven this claim was false, and it's obvious there's no comedy movie on the way.

Additionally, a few weeks after the report was published, Affleck has started shooting the action-thriller Triple Frontier - which will premiere on Netflix this coming March 6. Back in June, the actor also signed on to star in the addiction drama Torrance, and then he joined the Netflix crime drama The Last Thing He Wanted the following month. And after a few months, he also signed on to direct Matt Damon in a true-crime movie which is all about an ex-cop who rigged the McDonald's Monopoly game.

None of these movies were comedies, and Affleck does not have a comedy movie underway. And due to his busy schedule, it's unlikely he has times to "chase" Wiggs to make such movies and to reinvent himself.

As per Gossip Cop, OK! Magazine has no clear insight regarding Affleck's upcoming projects. The tabloid keeps on making false narratives about the actor and his projects. For instance, after the claim about him and Wigg was debunked, the outlet alleged the actor was planning to star in a PG-rated movie for his children, but that didn't happen as well.
