If you've watched the latest episode of NCIS: New Orleans last Tuesday, then you already know that Hannah is in for a big scoop as pieces of evidence of her previous mission in Oman are utilized to blackmail her. This plot is where the latest episode left off. Accordingly, the upcoming episode of the show is reported to continue to tackle this part of Hannah's life.
The multiple murders that are tied to a construction company from the previous episode, "Crab Mentality," were already resolved by the team. So, fans are expected to see a new sub-storyline in the new episode called "Survivor."
Although there is not much information as to how the totality of the new episode will push through, a quick synopsis of the sixteenth episode is shared on Rotten Tomatoes. According to them, the 'Survivor' episode will basically focus on Hannah's storyline. She and 'her family will be placed in protective custody' for safekeeping as the NCIS team will search the whereabouts of the terrorist that has been making moves against Hannah for a personal vendetta.
Express claims that it will be revealed in the next episode as to why Hannah is keeping a large distance from her team when she first joined the squad. As you may know, she has been working in the field for 15 years.
Fans are also theorizing that Hannah won't take the protective custody that easily as her character is well-known to be very dedicated to her work and quite distant from her family. And in this case of being personally-involved, she will certainly make her own ways to resolve the case far from her closed ties. So probably, she is the survivor that the episode is talking about.
On the other hand, there were claims as well that the 'survivor' would be the person that is blackmailing her. As far as the fans and viewers are concerned, there is not that much history given about Hannah's past life. So, this is a good theory as well.
Even so, fans and followers are still left in the dark. And CBS is yet to release a teaser or trailer for the upcoming episode as NCIS: New Orleans is currently on a two-week break for some reason.
Originally, the series is set to air on March 5. There were even 'teasers' that claimed that the show will be aired on March 6. However, Cartermatt finally revealed that NCIS: New Orleans Season 5 Episode 16 titled "Survivor" is dated to premiere on March 12.
