ABC has yet to announce the coming of How to Get Away with Murder Season 6, but fans are hopeful that the show will get renewed. With the previous season's major cliffhanger, it is impossible fans will never see a new offering. Showrunner Pete Nowalk even teases possible renewal as he already has an idea how a new chapter will run.
The previous season ended on February 28, but there are no words yet if How to Get Away with Murder Season 6 will come. However, ABC has been renewing its series a few months after the finale, so it may take a little while before fans hear the renewal announcement.
According to Bustle, How to Get Away with Murder Season 6 may explore how the FBI built the White Board of Doom. It may also be the chance to know Gabriel's (Rome Flynn) mother and learn what happened to Laurel's (Karla Souza) mom.
Sudden cliffhanger cancellations are now a rare sight, so How to Get Away with Murder Season 6 may surely come. ABC will be nice enough to show fans if Laurel and baby Christopher got kidnapped or she only orchestrated the ordeal to disappear. Annalise's (Viola Davis) boss, Emmett Crawford (Timothy Hutton), also left fighting for his life after an apparent poisoning. With all these mysterious happenings, viewers will be heartbroken if the show gets suddenly canceled.
"That's a huge mystery as we go into another season, which fingers crossed we'll get," Nowalk said about Laurel and Christopher's fates, per TVGuide. "We wrote it with the plan that we would get another season."
Although ABC has yet to renew the show, Nowalk revealed he already has plans for How to Get Away with Murder Season 6. He later explained that it takes time for the network to do these things, but they remain hopeful that the series will return.
Nowalk has been very careful not to spill the beans about his plans for How to Get Away with Murder Season 6. But, it seems like the FBI and its "Operation Bonfire" will play a big role in the new season. To recall, the murder that started all these things since the first season was on the night of Sam Keating's (Tom Verica) the Middleton University Bonfire.
As Annalise holds the mystery board position in the FBI, they may finally learn the connection of these crimes in How to Get Away with Murder Season 6. So if the show gets renewed, it may follow ABC's TGIT tradition and come out in September.
