Westworld Season 2 left its audience and fans with a bang as the series reached its season finale last June 2018.

In the last episode, The Passenger, it revealed a lot of major twists in the plot. And one of which is that Dolores has been hiding within Charlotte Hale's body. Upon hitting the fans with the revelation, the last few moments also showed that she's now headed out of Westworld carrying a bag full of robot brains.

Alongside the recent discovery, several hosts have already fled and reached a mysterious place within the Forge. But while others have succeeded, Maeve along with her company sacrificed themselves to ensure the escape of her daughter.

With the last episode's surprising and shocking events, it raised a lot of questions from the fans and ultimately left each viewer a mind-boggling thought. As a result, the audience is now eager to learn when will the show return to HBO and what would be the succeeding plans for the third installment.

Before the second season reached its season finale, Variety already confirmed that Westworld had been renewed for a third installment. But by the looks of it, the third season will not yet return in the coming months. And as anyone would recall it, season 2 was aired a year and a half after the end of season one.

Also, it has been confirmed recently that the cast will start filming the third installment come March 25 of this year and to be concluded by September. And this in reference to EconoTimes' Westworld updates. So, there's a huge possibility that season 3 will be available by mid-2020.

When the fans asked why it's taking too much time, the series co-creator, Jonathan Nolan shared with Entertainment Weekly that they do not want to rush perfection. He also added that they wish to make the third season much bigger and better this time. And with these plans in mind, they do not want a compromised version. Thus, it will take time.

While Westworld is expected to be much bigger in its third season, Revenge of The Fans claims that it will run with a total of eight episodes. This is quite shorter in comparison to the prior seasons which had 10 episodes each. Even so, it is believed that each episode will run an hour long. As for the reason behind, there is no apparent basis yet. For all we know, it is very likely that HBO just simply ordered a much shorter season this time.
